US Senate may block government funding of new nuclear tests.
The corresponding bill was filed by Senator Democrat Massachusetts Edward Marky.
The document aims to “prevent the Trump administration from resuming nuclear explosive testing,” the legislator’s press service said. The obstacle should be a ban on the use of budget funds “for the financial year 2021 and all previous years.”
The bill was registered amid US media reports that the prospect of resuming nuclear tests was being discussed in Washington.
