Trump is dissatisfied with the Chinese authorities’ actions against Hong Kong

US President Donald Trump is dissatisfied with China’s actions against Hong Kong. This was stated by White House spokesman Kaylie Makinani.

“He said he was dissatisfied with China’s attempts and that it is hard to imagine how Hong Kong would continue to be a financial centre if China prevailed”, –  she said.

Makinani refused to answer clarifying questions, saying that that was all the president wanted her to convey to the media.

For his part, U.S. presidential adviser on national security Robert O’Brien said in an interview with the NBC TV channel that the U.S. could impose sanctions against China if Beijing “takes over” Hong Kong with the help of the national security bill. Later, China made a presentation to the U.S. due to statements made by U.S. officials on the national security bill in Hong Kong and stated that Beijing would take countermeasures if the U.S. continued to undermine China’s interests.
