As reported today, May 11, in the Finnish military department, the entire Finnish Air Force corps will take part in the flight exercises Ilmatactics 20 (Aviation tactics 20), which will be held from May 18 to 22. This will be the largest national air force exercise in the first half of the year.

“Air tactics 20 is an important doctrine in the course of which the tactics of the air force and combat technology are being developed. The main base of the air defense group is Kuopio, Rovaniemi. The purpose of the exercises is to manage key personnel of air transportation in tactically complex scenarios, ” said Air Force Commander Colonel Juha-Pekka Keryanen.

In total, about 28 F / A-18 Hornet multi-role fighters and several other types of military aircraft will be involved in the exercises.
