German economists appreciated the consequences that Moldova will face as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The prime minister, Ion Kiku, said about it.
He said that today, it is impossible to say exactly when the crisis will end. In addition, the politician drew attention to the fact that Moldova’s economic trends will depend on the situation in Europe and the world.
“The other day, I discussed with Berlin experts, specialists from the German Economic Group with which we cooperate. I asked them to make a forecast of Moldova’s economic prospects on the basis of what we have now. Their forecast was as follows: Moldova’s GDP will drop by 6.3 per cent in 2020. The recovery will start in the fourth quarter of 2020, and they forecast a 5.5-per-cent economic growth in 2021”, – the Moldovan prime minister said.
