The U.S. President stressed that the awards were unfair, “all this was false news”.
U.S. President Donald Trump believes that the Pulitzer Prizes should be taken away from the American media, which received them for articles about the collusion of his headquarters with Russia, which as a result turned out to be false. The American leader told reporters on Thursday at the White House.
“These people must pay a high price for what they did to this country. They have to pay a high price, and their partner, fully implicated, was the media. The media are totally to blame”, – Trump is convinced.
“And all these writers, the so-called journalists, who are not really any journalists, but crooks, all these journalists who have received Pulitzer Prizes, should be forced to give back those Pulitzer Prizes. Because they’ve all lied. Because if you have seen the new documents that have been published today, you can clearly see that there was absolutely no collusion with Russia”, – he said.
“All these Pulitzer Prizes have to be returned. Because they were awarded unfairly. All this was false news, and they were all false media”, – added the American leader.
“The Pulitzer Prize Organizing Committee, or whoever awards these prizes, will be disgraced until they are taken back. Because they won Pulitzer Prizes for what ended up being false news. And the Pulitzer Prizes should be awarded to those who wrote it right. And I can give you a long list of such [journalists]”, – said the head of the White House.
