Moldovan President Igor Dodon said on Friday that he planned to resume negotiations with the Russian Federation next week to receive financial support.
The Constitutional Court of Moldova on Thursday declared unconstitutional an agreement on a republic receiving a loan from the Russian Federation in the amount of 200 million euros.
“In this situation, with the decision of the Constitutional Court, we need to decide how to ensure the normal functioning of the state and the budget, we can solve this problem. We decided to resume negotiations with the Russian Federation, we also plan to seek financing from other external sources”, – Dodon said in a video message on his Facebook page.
According to the President, in many respects the situation in the economy will depend on political stability, as Moldova’s international partners may not want to invest in a country where another crisis of power is possible.
Earlier, Dodon said that Moldova may face serious economic problems if it does not receive a loan from the Russian Federation, in particular, there may be difficulty in paying salaries an
