The adopted resolution calls on the European Union to take a legally binding decision regarding the “threat” posed by the Belarusian nuclear power plant for the population of the European Union, and to take appropriate measures against Belarus and Russia.

The government is invited to seek the imposition of sanctions on the part of Lithuanian allies against the builder of BelAES and other companies and intermediaries involved in the construction and sale of “dirty” energy from the station.

The Seimas resolution calls on the government to use all political and diplomatic means to support the European Union, EU and NATO member states, Ukraine, other countries of the region and the entire international community in eliminating the “threat” posed by BelAES.
