The U.S. allocates money for military infrastructure in the Baltics

The raging coronavirus epidemic in the U.S., accompanied by the world’s highest death rate, does not prevent Americans from allocating money to counter the mythical “Russian threat”.

According to RT TV channel with reference to the application of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Europe, Washington plans to allocate 49 million dollars for the design of military facilities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

“The funds should be used for the design of subsequent construction, repair or rehabilitation of facilities such as airfields, railroad tracks, fuel and lubricants stores, ammunition and explosives warehouses, barracks, housing units for one or more families, engineering structures, medical units, administrative buildings, mobile vehicle maintenance and repair workshops, operation and training facilities, operational/intelligence centers, military police.”

At least three contracts are planned for work, with only United States firms or host country joint ventures involving the United States as candidates for contractors. It is planned that the contractors will be identified by September.
