Poland joins American information attack on China

The United States is trying to hold Chinese authorities responsible for the spread of the coronavirus. Washington’s information run is completely duplicated in Polish media. The local media are repeating one-on-one anti-Chinese narrative from America, accusing Beijing of hiding the real number of victims and the extent of the epidemic. In addition, in Poland they started talking about the “totalitarianism” of the communist regime in China.

In the article entitled “Do not trust totalitarianism! China, the coronavirus and legends of Beijing’s ingenuity, “notes that” Chinese propaganda is much more skillful than Russian convinces the world of its good intentions, especially during the epidemic. “

“Meanwhile, totalitarianism has its invariable nature, so let’s refrain from this gratitude and admiration for China. The worst mechanisms of such a system become apparent only after years, and sometimes decades, ” the publication pumps hysteria.

Another wPolityce.pl article criticizes China’s assistance to European countries, which, according to the author, is “an element of the propaganda action of the Beijing communist authorities, trying in this way to mask their responsibility for the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”

In addition, Chinese doctors reportedly performed the world’s first successful transplant of both lungs to a 59-year-old patient infected with coronavirus. However, according to the publication, the lungs needed for transplantation were taken from one of the prisoners held by the Chinese regime.

“Perhaps the coronavirus epidemic will help the world community rediscover the true nature of the communist regime in China,” the author concludes.

The pro-governmental publication Gazeta Polska in the article “Chinese propaganda in the mask of Confucius. Beijing’s agitation in Poland ” accuses Beijing of using a coronavirus pandemic for an aggressive diplomatic attack.

“Communist China, responsible for the distribution of coronavirus worldwide, today is trying to create the image of a philanthropist who helps the rest of the world fight the pandemic,” the newspaper’s reporters are convinced.

It has been reported that for several weeks now, the object of a massive propaganda attack by the Chinese special services has been Twitter – “a tool for shaping public opinion around the world, where several thousand fake English-language accounts, on the one hand, inform Beijing about the merits of the fight against the epidemic, the help of China, Italy, Spain, Serbia, on the other hand, they hit the USA, Hong Kong and Taiwan. ”

In Poland, according to the publication, China creates Confucius Institutes (cultural and educational centers for spreading the Chinese language abroad) to advance its goals.

The pro-government TV portal Republika in the article “Is WHO Communist China Used for Propaganda?” Invites WHO leadership to be held accountable for its pro-Chinese stance.

“The World Health Organization cannot be used as an instrument in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party. The United States, which makes the greatest financial contribution to this organization, must take decisive steps to change this. After overcoming the pandemic, WHO leadership should be held accountable, ”the material says.
The former chief epidemiologist of Poland, Zbigniew Halat, also sharply criticized WHO, who recalled that “the Soviet Union and the Ukrainian Soviet Republic were the founding fathers of WHO.”

“It has always been an organization serving the interests of the Communists: either Russian or Chinese. Especially recently, the Chinese, intercepting the colonization of Africa, use international organizations as a cover for their activities, ”he said in an interview with Radio Maryja.

However, the most aggressive anti-Chinese activity was launched by the publication of evangelical Christians Idź Pod Prąd (Go against the tide), which organized an action in the country under the slogan #NieKupujeChinskiego (Do not buy Chinese).

“The Chinese Communist Party has brought a pandemic. Now China is pretending to be a savior. Do you want the fall of communism in China? Join the boycott of Chinese goods and sign our petition for compensation from China for the coronavirus! ”, The publication said.

It should be noted that such anti-Chinese statements and publications in the Polish media are not surprising – Poland has long lost any subjectivity in the international arena and has become an instrument of US foreign policy.

And in this case, Warsaw simply acts on the principle of “ducks to horns, cockroaches to drums”, completely repeating the narrative that sounds from Washington.

Nevertheless, it can be stated that if earlier Russia was the main target for local propagandists, now China has become another goal for them, which is increasingly mentioned in a negative light in Polish media.
