This week, the Croatian government will consider introducing a series of easing measures against coronavirus proliferation. Among them is the opening of border crossing points on highways, domestic flights, cafes, restaurants and some tourist facilities, Tourdom.ru reported with reference to local media.
The restoration of tourism will begin with the permission of auto campsites. They are to be followed by private apartments and holiday homes, as well as sea tourism. According to local host companies, agreements have already been reached with the Czech Republic and Slovakia to send organized bus groups and with Austria to transit.
The resumption of flights from abroad is still out of the question. However, Russian tourists who were planning a vacation in Croatia are not in a hurry to change their plans and expect the situation to develop.
According to the director of the Croatian travel company Zoran Charapich, the majority of clients have not cancelled vouchers and hope for the soon opening of the destination. In his opinion, the arrival of guests from Russia can be expected from July to August.
