About 40 thousand reagents for coronavirus tests were sent to Kazakhstan from Russia with the assistance of the Kazakh Embassy in Moscow, the diplomatic mission said.
Kazakhstan has confirmed 1949 cases of coronavirus, 19 of which were fatal. Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev extended his quarantine in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent until the end of April because of the coronavirus, which has been in force since March 16.
“At the request of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation transferred 38 thousand units of reagents to the country for the manufacture of coronavirus tests. The drugs will be delivered to Kazakhstan by bus in compliance with all sanitary safety measures and transportation rules”, – said the diplomatic mission.
The embassy notes that this is the third batch of reagents, sent with his assistance to Kazakhstan.
