Pilot production of the purified inactivated vaccine, called “PiCoVacc”, has already started.
The coronavirus vaccine has been successfully tested.
This was reported by researchers from China on the page of the electronic scientific library “bioRxiv”.
“Systematic evaluation of PiCoVacc by monitoring clinical signs, hematological and biochemical index, as well as histopathological analysis in monkeys suggests that it is safe”, – the report says.
It is also noted that the vaccine has forced the organisms of experimental animals – mice, rats and primates – to produce antibodies and neutralize at least ten different strains of new type coronavirus.
To create an inactivated vaccine, scientists collected fluid samples from the lungs of infected people living in China, Italy, Spain and Britain.
