There are protests against quarantine in the US

Demonstrators led thousands of cars to the Capitol building in Michigan’s capital Lansing, loudly protesting against Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s decree that residents should stay home to counter the coronavirus pandemic.

Whitmer said she respected the right to protest, but believed that many demonstrators put themselves and others at risk for COVID-19.

This is not the first time there has been a riot against self-isolation and quarantine in the US. More than 100 people protested in the center of North Carolina’s capital, Raleigh, demanding a resumption of economic activity in the state.
