Thus, a video was removed from the YouTube channel of the NTV television company with a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to citizens in connection with the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19. Against this background, Roskomnadzor demanded an explanation from Google.
The department noted that such locks have recently become a frequent occurrence on world sites. In particular, they even apply to statements by officials whose purpose is to inform citizens about the situation with the epidemic. Google quickly recognized the blocking as a mistake, and the appeal of the Russian leader was restored.
As News Front reported, earlier the same fate befell an interview with the chief physician of Kommunarka. The video was blocked under the pretext of “inappropriate” content, but later the decision was also called erroneous.
