The American leader thanked Vladimir Putin and King of Saudi Arabia for reaching agreements on oil production.
US President Donald Trump called OPEC+ an excellent deal to reduce oil production. He wrote about it on Twitter on April 12.
“A big oil deal has been made with OPEC+. It will save hundreds of thousands of energy jobs in the United States. I would like to thank and congratulate Russian President Vladimir Putin and King Salman of Saudi Arabia. I just spoke to them from the Oval Office. It’s a great deal for everyone!” – emphasized the American leader.
Earlier it was reported that OPEC+ countries agreed at an emergency meeting on April 12 to reduce oil production by 9.7 million barrels per day in May-June.
On Sunday, Putin, Trump and Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held a telephone conversation during which they supported the OPEC+ agreement on phased reduction of oil production.
