Britain will be the most affected country in Europe – government is preparing for a 30% collapse of the economy

As the coronavirus spreads in Britain, officials’ hopes for optimistic scenarios fade away.

Britain will be the worst hit in Europe – the government is preparing for a 30% collapse of the economy.
With more deaths in hospitals across the UK than 10,000, the government recognizes the risk that the kingdom will suffer the most from the pandemic in Europe.
As previously reported by News Front, the British authorities have demonstrated their disorganization in the crisis. This has left many physicians on the front line of the COVID-19 fight without protection. In a London hospital, nurses were forced to work with the infected, wearing garbage bags instead of special protective suits. At the same time, some hospitals even registered staff riots.
However, according to The Times, citing senior government sources, Finance Minister Rishi Sunak discussed with colleagues the possibility of reducing gross domestic product by 25-30 percent in the second quarter of 2020. Sources also claim that Sunak, along with other ministers, insisted on easing quarantine measures to save the economy.
