Americans intend to collect information about the Ukrainian health care system and its reform. USAID will take on the challenge.
The agency wants to get data for supposedly information on how to improve the quality of medical services provided, reduce their cost for Ukrainians and attract the private sector.
At the same time, many experts insist that this reform only destroys the healthcare system and there is no reason to expect anything good from it.
Opposition deputy Nataliya Korolevskaya generally noted that the results of this “work” were simply shocking:
“More than 70 thousand doctors left the country, the number of medical facilities decreased by almost a quarter, mortality is more than twice the birth rate, and Ukraine has become a leader in the spread of measles, AIDS, HIV and hepatitis.”
If the United States also joins, the pace of destruction of an already flimsy healthcare system will only accelerate.
