This measure is necessary to ensure public safety, explained Jorge Rodriguez, Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic.
The Venezuelan authorities have decided to impose curfews in several areas of the country bordering Colombia to ensure public security. This was announced Monday by Venezuelan Minister of Communication and Information Jorge Rodriguez during a speech in Caracas.
“Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has decided to introduce curfews in the municipalities of Simón Bolívar and Pedro Maria Ureña, as well as in the city of San Antonio del Tachira from 16:00 to 10:00 local time”, – said Rodriguez, whose speech was broadcast on public television.
The Minister noted that this measure is necessary because Venezuelans who are returning from Colombia may have representatives of different groups.
