On 6 February, the Israeli Air Force attacked army positions and military depots south of Damascus, as well as in Deraa and Quneitra. At the time, as reported by SANA, eight Syrian soldiers were injured in the Israeli attack.

On 14 February, according to Al-Hadath, three Syrian soldiers and four Iranian military advisers were killed in a rocket attack on the area of Damascus International Airport, the suburbs of Kiswah and Seyida Zeinab.

The Syrian military command followed a statement stating that “an escalation in Israeli aggression will not save terrorist groups that are suffering a crushing defeat by the Syrian army in the province of Idlib and western Aleppo”. Israeli military reports of Israeli strikes against Syria have not been commented on.
