Russian military delivered humanitarian aid to a city in the province of Aleppo

The Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria brought humanitarian aid to the city of Deir al-Jamal in the north of the Aleppo province.

As the head of the Administration, Mohammed al-Hazal, told the reporters, about 22 thousand people live in the city and its environs, and 90% of them are below the poverty line.

“Many relatives and breadwinners died in the war, many of them work in agriculture and can barely make ends meet. We specially made lists of those most in need, and we will give them help with special coupons. It’s very important for them”, – he said .

The Russian military brought 350 food packages, each bag containing flour, sugar, cereals, condensed milk and tea. In addition, three tons of traditional Syrian flat cakes, as well as blankets and rugs, were brought to the locals. First of all, the families of the dead military received help.

“I have five children left. We came to get this help. We are very grateful for it”, – said a local resident Aliya, whose husband died several years ago in battles with militants.

“I work in the education department of the Administration. We have 11 children in the family, and the salary is very small. Therefore, this help came to us, and it is very helpful”, – said another local resident Ais Ailadzhin.
