Due to changes in the exchange rate this year, Norway will pay 1 billion Norwegian kroner when paying a loan for acquired F-35 fighter jets.

“F-35 price increases may have unintended consequences for future defense investments,” said Espen Amundsen, former Norwegian chief financial officer, “The contract for the purchase of fifth-generation American fighters will lead to the cancellation of the purchase of other defense equipment or the infringement of social programs for the population”.
