American general complains about equipping the US Air Force

The American aviation is in crisis, which will be intensified due to budget cuts in 2021. This was stated in his article for the portal Defense News by retired general Michael Law.

According to the military, the budget proposals for next year include the cancellation of a third of the fleet of B-1 Lancer bombers, as well as the cancellation of the modernization program for the B-2 model.

In addition, the B-52 aircraft, which has been in the arsenal of the United States Air Force since 1955, requires a significant upgrade of engines and other systems to increase its efficiency.

As Law notes, the latest B-21 bomber, which is under development, will be able to strengthen American aviation in no less than ten years.

At the same time, the general emphasized that the US need for bombers is growing, especially in the Indo-Pacific region
