Turkey named date of joint patrol with Russia in Idlib

Russian and Turkish military will conduct joint patrols in Syrian Idlib on March 15. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar.

“The document was signed by both parties and entered into force. And we will see its first application on March 15, when joint patrolling on the M4 highway will begin”, – Sabah newspaper quotes him.

Earlier, the presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed over the phone the implementation of the agreements on the Idlib de-escalation zone.

On March 11, Akar said that Ankara’s talks with Moscow on the Syrian Idlib are proceeding positively and in a constructive manner.
