Orthodox protests still take place in Montenegro

Thousands of prayers were held on Thursday evening in Montenegro in protest against the controversial law on religious freedom. According to the press service of the Montenegrin-Primorsky Metropolitanate of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC), tens of thousands of people took part in such an action only in the capital, Podgorica.

“The faithful are increasingly stubbornly defending their shrines from the atheistic ruling regime. Tens of thousands of Podgorica residents gathered tonight at the Cathedral Church of the Resurrection of Christ at the Prayer Church for the salvation of Orthodox shrines”, – the message said.
