“The publication of the so-called deal of the century is yet another shameful act by [US President Donald] Trump’s administration. “The so-called Trump deal of the administration is a violation of international law, an attempt to legitimize illegal Israeli settlements in the face of condemnation by the whole world,” said the human rights activists. “There can be no just and lasting peace agreement without ensuring the freedom of the Palestinian people. To this end, we call on Americans to abandon the “farce of the century” of the Trump administration, and we also call for Israel to be held fully responsible”, – the statement said. Activists suggest that the U.S. provide military assistance to Israel only if it “ends the occupation. Last week, Palestinian authorities said they will reject any steps proposed by the U.S. to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that are contrary to international law. The American leader said on Monday that the White House will make public its settlement plan on Tuesday at noon local time (20:00 Moscow time). Trump also noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supported the American initiative, while the Palestinian side, according to the head of the Washington administration, will support it in the future.
