The attempt to impose yet another sanction on Iran against the backdrop of the US-Iranian confrontation, undertaken by the US President Donald Trump, would look like pure political actionism. But the exploding passenger airliner is a completely different matter.
This was told by the former journalist of the TV channel possessed by the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky “1 + 1” and the Deputy of the faction “Servant of the people” Alexander Dubinsky.
According to him, the situation should be assessed from the point of view of “who benefits”. In this regard, he immediately pointed to the United States. He explained this by the fact that the killing by of the Iranian general Qasem Soleimani by the US military on the orders of Trump, as well as Iran’s response in the form of shelling of the US armed forces at the base in Iraq, caused a mixed reaction around the world, including that in the United States.
“The subsequent response and sanctions in the world would be regarded as pure actionism by Donald Trump in the sake of a small victorious fight against impeachment. But the crash of a civilian aircraft with civilians of Iran and the Ukrainian crew is an absolutely different matter”, – Dubinsky explains, emphasizing that in this situation, few would argue with the need to strengthen sanctions.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that the USA, Great Britain and Canada were promoting the anti-Iranian version, moreover, without specific conclusions.
“I understand perfectly why President Zelensky is silent. You must have all the facts on hand. And not a set of manipulations, the trees of which became citizens of Ukraine”, – the people’s Deputy concluded.
