Ukrainian law enforcers have violated the truce 65 times within the area of withdrawal of forces near the Petrovskoye settlement since November 9, 2019, when the parties to the conflict in Donbass resumed the process of divorce, a representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination told journalists.
“In the period from 09.11.2019 to 09.01.2020, according to the JCCС and the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, 65 violations of the ceasefire by the armed groups of Ukraine were recorded within the area of separation of forces and means near the Petrovskoye settlement”, – the representative of the agency said.
According to him, 163 violations by the Ukrainian law enforcers during this period were recorded in the five-kilometer zone of separation of forces and means.
In 2016, a contact group for the settlement of the situation in Ukraine signed a framework decision on the separation of forces and means of the parties to the conflict in Donbass. The withdrawal of forces in the area of settlements Zolotoye and Petrovskoye took place in 2016, in Stanitsa Luganskoye – in June 2019. At the same time, the DPR and LPR repeatedly stated that the Ukrainian law enforcers had advanced deep into the breeding grounds near Petrovskoye and Zolotoye. On 29 October 2019, the parties resumed the withdrawal of forces in Zolotoye and on 9 November in Petrovsky. Twenty-sixth of November, the LPR completed all activities within the framework of the withdrawal of forces near Zolotoy. On 5 December, the DPR announced that it had completed the withdrawal of forces near Petrovskoye.
