The Polish ambassador to Iran evacuated from Iraq

The Polish ambassador to Iran, Beat Penks, was evacuated from Iraq – the deputy head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Marcin Psidach.

“I can confirm that the ambassador returned from Iraq and is in Warsaw today,” the deputy minister said.

“Together with the British, with whom we share the embassy building, we decided that for security reasons the return of the ambassador to the country would be the right decision,” he added.
