Chechen Interior Ministry officials ask to be included in the US sanctions list. This was a response to the imposition of sanctions against the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the city of Grozny, Aslan Iraskhanov:
“This is not the first time we have been offering, in order to facilitate their work, to fill up this notorious list with all the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Chechen Republic. All, as one, we are ready to go all the way along the chosen path of peace and creation for the good of our Motherland – Russia. ”
The Chechen Interior Minister added that the story of his involvement in human rights violations did not find “objective confirmation”.
