The party contradictions of the modern American establishment are a problem: despite the fact that the vast majority of Democrats are in favor of depriving Trump of his powers by accordingly nominating its candidates, the Senate, without which impeachment is impossible, is under the control of the Republican Party, which provides Trump with serious support.
Therefore, according to an expert from the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the current situation contributes to the split within the political and civil society and “undermines the confidence of citizens in the effectiveness of the American political institutions”.
