Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang spoke out about the decision of the US administration to ban Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE from participating in the state subsidy program.
“We again urge the United States not to use national security as an excuse to stop oppressing Chinese enterprises and exert pressure on them. In return, the US should create a fair and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese enterprises, ” the diplomat said.
He added that Washington was already accustomed to unproven blaming Chinese companies, and the practice of using state power for economic pressure violates the principles of a market economy proclaimed by the United States itself.
