The country’s Interior Ministry said that four protesters and two law enforcement officers were injured on Rustaveli Avenue.
During the protest in front of the Parliament in Tbilisi, police detained 37 people. The Georgian Interior Ministry reported this evening on November 18.
According to the ministry, six people were injured on Rustaveli Avenue, including two law enforcement officers. It is noted that the detentions are related to administrative offenses: disobedience to lawful requirements of a law enforcement officer and hooliganism.
Earlier it was reported that police using water cannons dispersed opposition protesters who blocked the entrances to the Georgian Parliament.
Protests in Tbilisi began after the parliament could not pass the bill on constitutional amendments, according to which the parliamentary elections in 2020 were to be held in full according to the proportional system.
