A second consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia will be held in Tashkent on November 29, said Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov on Friday.

A meeting of foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan is being held in Tashkent on Friday. Ministers, in particular, will discuss the preparation of the second consultative meeting of the Central Asian heads of state.

“Dear colleagues! In anticipation of our meeting, the experts conducted fruitful preparations for the upcoming consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia in Tashkent on November 29”, –  Kamilov said, opening the meeting.

In March 2018, the first consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia was held in the capital of Kazakhstan. The Uzbek authorities planned to hold a second meeting of the heads of Central Asian countries in Tashkent in the spring. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov told kun.uz online that the meeting was postponed due to the busy schedule of the Uzbek side. Later, the Foreign Ministry said that the summit could be held this fall.
