Turkey repatriates eight ISIS* fighters to Germany and Great Britain

On Thursday, Turkey will send eight ISIS* militants captured by the Turkish military to Germany and Great Britain, the country’s Interior Ministry said.

“The procedure is ongoing for the deportation of ISIS* terrorists to their countries of origin. Currently, all the necessary procedures for expelling from Turkey in relation to one fighter from the UK and seven from Germany have been completed”, – the agency said.

Earlier, Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soilu announced the start of deportation of ISIS* militants to their countries of origin from Monday. The first ISIS* member of American descent who was sent to Greece was not accepted by the Greek authorities. Currently, he continues to remain in neutral territory between the two checkpoints. Later, the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the United States gave guarantees for the reception of the militant.
