More than 850 refugees from Jordan and Lebanon returned to Syria in 24 hours

Almost 250 people returned from Lebanon to Syria in a day, more than 600 people arrived from Jordan, follows from the newsletter of the refugee reception, distribution and accommodation center, published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Over the past day, 856 refugees returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territories of foreign states, including from Lebanon through the checkpoints Jade-Yabus, Tell-Kalah – 247 people (74 women, children 125), from Jordan “609 people (183 women, 311 children) through the Nasib checkpoint”, –  the statement said. It is noted that three refugees returned to their places of permanent residence during the day.

In addition, the engineering units of the Syrian Armed Forces carried out the tasks of clearing the terrain and facilities in El Harra, Jasim (province of Deraa) and the Duma (province of Damascus) during the day. Specialists cleared 2.2 hectares of land, and also discovered and destroyed 37 explosive objects.
