Iranian President Hassan Rouhani wrote a letter to Saudi King Salman bin Abdel-Aziz Al Saud with a proposal to cooperate in regional security.
“The topics of the message were regional stability and peace. We believe that numerous bilateral ties can be formed in the region, and pressure from the United States should not increase the distance between neighbors”, – said the Iranian administration spokesman Ali Rabi, Tasnim quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Rouhani announced the readiness of the Iranian side to negotiate with all regional powers, including Saudi Arabia.
Speaking about relations with Saudi Arabia, the Iranian leader indicated that one of the main problems in relations between the two countries is the armed conflict in Yemen.
