The US diplomat said that the US does not want military intervention in Venezuela

The US government would not want the political crisis in Venezuela to lead to foreign intervention, the head of the Venezuelan affairs department at the US Embassy in Colombia, James Storey, said in an interview with the 2001 newspaper.

“We do not want military intervention of the international community, and a peaceful, political and democratic solution that would comply with the Constitution of Venezuela”, – the diplomat said.

At the same time, Storey stated that Venezuela “has Russian, Chinese, and Cuban military personnel”ю

“They want to [Venezuelan President Nicolas] Maduro remained in power”, – said the diplomat.

Earlier, US officials said that Washington is considering all options for resolving the situation in Venezuela.
