Brazilian Govt Rejects G7 Aid to Fight Amazon Fires

On Sunday, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the leaders of the G7 countries had agreed to help the countries of the Amazon basin fight forest fires that he described as a serious international crisis, while criticizing his Brazilian counterpart, Jair Bolsonaro, for not following his obligations to mitigate climate change.
The Brazilian government rejected an offer of aid by the G7 countries in ending the Amazon fires, according to AFP.
