The G7 summit that is being held in France from 24-26 August, chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron, is set to highlight the issue of inequality and the advancement of universal access to social welfare.
Protesters gathered this Saturday on the streets of the French city of Hendaye, located on the border with Spain, to protests against the G7 summit.
According to the organisers, the protest is meant to attract attention to the contribution of the G7 member-states to growing inequality and to underscore the difference between the leaders’ promises and their actions.
