Trump again attacks India, say tariffs ‘unacceptable’

US President Donald Trump has again fired a new salvo at India, saying New Delhi’s tariffs on American products are “unacceptable” amid an increasing trade row between the two countries.

“India has long had a field day putting Tariffs on American products. No longer acceptable!” Trump tweeted on Tuesday.

American author and attorney Howard Altman slammed Trump’s move. “Learn that tariffs is not capitalized, dolt. Also your tariffs are a tax on us, bankruptcy boy,” he commented on Trump’s tweet.

Last month, India levied as high as 70% tariffs on American exports to the country in a retaliatory measure after Washington’s move to strip New Delhi of preferential access to the US market.
