Thousands of students living in the militant-controlled city of Idlib and the surrounding Idlb Governorate, travelled to Hama to sit the secondary and preparatory certificates examinations on Sunday.
“We came to Hama governorate in spite of all the hard situations for attending the examinations because Idlib governorate needs educated students so that we can rebuild it all over again,” said a student from Idlib.
According to an education official working for Idlib’s temporary education directorate in Hama, thousands of students travelled hours to attend the examinations and were provided with accommodation and study materials upon arrival in Hama.
“The number of students registered in basic and secondary education is 7,640” added the Syrian official.
