Terrorist’s big push: Hama rebels attempt to break through SAF lines

A number of terrorist groups have teamed up for a large-scale offensive in the Syrian province of Hama, where they are trying to press down government forces.

According to reports, the main striking force is the Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham group, * joined by militants from Ahrar ash-Sham and the National Liberation Front. The day before they opened a massive fire on the positions of the Syrian Arab army in the areas of Jubbain, Tel-Mall and Asman. The terrorists used mortars, artillery and MLRS in shelling, after which assault troops of militants who broke through the defense of the CAA were launched.

As a result, the village was captured. Jubbayn, the height of Tel Millah, and then the settlement of the same name. Thus, the terrorists managed to take control of the strategically important highway Mkharda – Skalbiya. Later, the village of Kafr Hud was also captured. The offensive was only stopped by Al-Jadida, whose capture was succeeded in repelling.

In connection with the activation of the militants, the Syrian and Russian aviation began to strike at their positions. Bombing intensified after the capture of Kafr Hud.
