The share of citizens who believe that their country should leave the European Union is the highest in the Czech Republic, Italy and Austria, reports Europe Elects on Thursday, April 25, with reference to the Kantar poll.
The survey was conducted in the UK, which is leaving, but still has not left the EU. Brexit’s share of supporters is currently 45%.
A quarter of or more Czech citizens (34%), Italy (28%), Austria (27%), France (26%), Cyprus and Croatia (25% each) support the exit of their countries from the EU.
The highest level of “Eurooptimism” is recorded in Luxembourg, Portugal, as well as the Netherlands and Ireland – in these countries, 8,8 and 9% of citizens, respectively, share the idea of leaving the EU.
