Being the largest country in the world, Russia has enormous potential in matters of global environmental and food security.
This statement was made by the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany Gerhard Mueller before the visit to the Russian Federation.
According to him, the purpose of the trip is to “conquer Russia as a partner” to protect the climate and ensure global food security.
“Russia is the largest country in the world that we need to protect world goods and provide food. As for international climate protection and a broad alliance in the field of biodiversity, Russia is an important partner,” Mueller said, reminding that Russia owns a quarter of the world’s forests and more than 30 million hectares of unused agricultural land, while the country is the largest exporter of grain.
