USA: Democratic hopeful Gillibrand rails against president at Trump Tower

Democratic presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand used a speech in front of Trump Tower in New York on Sunday to criticise the president.

The New York senator said Donald Trump was “tearing apart the moral fabric of our country”.

She also called one of the president’s signature properties, the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Manhattan, “a shrine to greed, division and vanity”.

Gillibrand joins a crowded field of fourteen Democrats competing to challenge the president in 2020.
