Despite an ongoing military campaign by the Egyptian Army and security forces against militants in North Sinai, ISIS cells seem to be still capable of conducting attacks in the region.
ISIS claimed that its members had engaged the army in a series of clashes in Jabel Yalek. According to Amaq, 2 soldiers were killed;
– An IED planted by ISIS allegedly hit an patrol near al-Arish Airport;
– An IED planted by ISIS allegedly hit an army battle tank near Rafah.
