Turkey and Russia continue efforts to create a joint coordination center in Syria’s Idlib de-escalation zone, the Anadolu news agency reported on Thursday, citing Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.
“Turkey and Russia are working to create a joint center to coordinate activities in Idlib. Our work continues,” Akar said, providing no details about the center.
The Turkish defense minister also commented on a new agreement on Idlib, singed by Ankara and Moscow on March 3-4. According to Akar, the document “clarifies the joint work” Turkey and Russia have been doing.
