For several weeks in the Syrian de-escalation zone of Idlib, the terrorist group “Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham” has been rampant, seizing territories and destroying pro-Turkish formations, to which Ankara gave a clear and understandable answer.
So, while there was a fierce confrontation in Idlib, Turkey pulled tanks, armored vehicles, as well as special forces units to the border of the de-escalation zone. Now, according to Bloomberg, the Armed Forces are located in Hatay province near the village of Yayladagi.
Idlib de-escalation zone was the last major stronghold of militants in Syria. It is divided among themselves by several groups. The largest of these is Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham. Now, after weeks of confrontation, she controls over 60 percent of the province of Idlib. At the same time, experts do not exclude that the group can take control of the entire region, if that does not interfere.
