The North Atlantic alliance should not be in Moldova, neutral status is a principled position of the country. This was stated by President of the Republic Igor Dodon.
“This neutral status militarily is a matter of principle. There should be no NATO in Moldova, this is the position of principle of at least two-thirds of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova,” he said.
“We cannot afford to be friends with someone against someone. It should be clear to everyone. I say in the CIS and in Brussels that we will be friends with the West and Russia, but we won’t be friends with Europe, America against Russia. We do not need it,” Dodon said.
