The United States Department of Defense completed deliveries of the Javelin offensive anti-tank systems to Ukraine on the initiative of the White House.
This was stated by the American President Donald Trump himself in an interview with CBS News.
It is worth noting that earlier in Washington discussion was held on the topic of supply of lethal weapons to Ukrainian troops but the speakers insisted that the anti-tank missiles are “purely defensive”
At the same time, talking to a journalist, Trump assured that it was he who had instructed to equip the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Javelin complexes, while his predecessor Barack Obama did not dare to do that.
Recall that the supply became known in the spring of this year. At the same time, Petro Poroshenko said that anti-tank systems had passed the first tests and would be used in case of “Russian aggression”.
